Here is a song that was a hit! This is "Waka-waka". Popularized by Shakira for the 2010 football world cup, it was actually composed and performed originally by the Cameroonian group "Golden sounds" in 86

July 2023 - Pattern : 46

Here is a kalimba accompaniment of a traditional song from Mali (in the Bambara language): Denko (the child). Here are the lyrics :
Denko, denko Ayo korofon yé Minka fissa denko yé Ayé korofon yé
Translation: The importance of the child, tell me about it! What could be more important than the child, show me!
You can find this piece (n°10) in the CD book “Rhymes and lullabies of the baobab” by Didier jeunesse, which I recommend to everyone!

October 2023 - Pattern : 47

A tutorial without words, it consists of 2 chords: C # minor 7 then E major.
For the improvisation part, everyone has to find their own melodies. The tuning is E-F#-G#-Si-C#-Mi-Fa#-Gol#-Si-C#-E: alternating right thumb and left thumb, starting with right thumb in the middle.
